MAIN COAT COLOURS OF THE ABYSSINIAN

The Abyssinian coat is very 'unique'.  Described as a 'bunny coat', it has ticked hairs of two or more bands of colour. The texture is lustrous and short and is extremely easy to groom and comes in a variety of colours:

TAWNY

Warm brown undercoat, ticked with black. Base colour deep orange. Stomach and inside of legs deep orange to deep apricot. Tail tipped with black.

BLUE

Warm beige undercoat, ticked with various shades of slate blue with undercoat blush/beige. Tail tipped with slate blue.
Paw pads mauve and slate blue between the toes.  See examples below:

CINNAMON

Copper red undercoat with chocolate/ red-brown ticking. Undercoats colour deep apricot. Tip of tail chocolate/brown. Pink paw pads.  See examples below:

FAWN

Warm rose beige, ticked with light cocoa brown. Undercoat is a blush beige. Tip of tail light cocoa brown. Pink paw pads, light cocoa brown between the toes.
